Angela Chang Design Studio is a full service design studio based in Sarasota, Florida.

Angela is a professional Interior Designer devoted to creating great design in commercial, residential and hospitality projects. She is committed to working closely with clients, general contractors and vendors on each project with a mission to minimize errors and achieve the greatest satisfaction from each project. Functional and beautiful design with high professional standards is her motto.

Angela grew up in Taipei, Taiwan and developed an interest in art at an early age. She was accepted to an art-and-academic focused middle school where her love of sketching began. After high school, Angela attended Iowa State University's pre-architectural program. After almost 2 years she found her way to the Art Institute of California - Los Angeles in Santa Monica, CA and finished her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. She then attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena for a Master of Science degree in Environmental Design - Spatial Experience.  In 2021, Angela completed her NCDIQ certification. Angela has used her education to develop a foundational understanding of the design process - the architecture is the foundation of the interior design, and interior design can be used to provoke different experience.

 

Angela started her career in commercial corporate design in Los Angeles where she spent 6 years learning and growing. In 2020, Angela decided to move to Longboat Key, Florida along with her partner Nick and dog Cookie. Angela started working in high-end residential, multi-family, and hospitality projects where she uses her professionalism from commercial field for all her projects. Angela is often described as light hearted, straight forward, and kind. Currently living in Nokomis, FL, Angela enjoys a long walk on the beach with or without a fishing rod in her hand when she is not in front of her computer.
